We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented professional with a high level of accountability and a passion for excellence. This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of audit engagements from start to finish.
- Qualified CA(SA)
- At least 2–3 years of audit management experience
- Strong knowledge of International Auditing Standards (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience with JSE-listed clients (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail and a strong problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a demanding environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- South African citizen
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
As an Audit Manager at Moore Johannesburg, you will be responsible for leading audit teams, ensuring compliance with audit standards, and delivering high-quality work to clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with Moore’s audit methodology, ISA, and regulatory frameworks
- Reviewing financial statements, risk assessments, and audit findings
- Managing deadlines and ensuring audits are completed efficiently
- Providing strategic insights and professional advice to clients
- Reporting regularly to audit partners on engagement progress
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members, sharing expertise, and fostering growth
- Driving process improvements and integrating best practices into audit programs
- Identifying risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place
- Locking down audit files on time and ensuring all documentation meets professional standards
- Delivering formal internal training as required
- Acting as a role model and promoting the firm’s values in every engagement
